ABOUT KIRSTEN GRAVES, MS RD
Kirsten is a Registered Dietitian (RD) with expertise in nutrition curriculum development, sports nutrition for athletes and teams, and the treatment of a disordered relationship with food or body.
She has been a healthcare provider since 2008, during which she has worked with world class NCAA Division I athletes, recreational athletes, age group athletes, and healthcare professionals to build a positive relationship with food, exercise, and body.
Kirsten is skilled at not only articulating and communicating science regarding nutrition and health but also in building a non-judgemental and collaborative space for her clients to move towards their goals. She uses a non-diet, weight inclusive, and weight neutral approach to nutrition and movement counseling.
At UC Berkeley’s Cal Athletics, she developed nutrition protocols for the sports medicine department and worked with world class athletes competing in a variety of sports to meet their nutrition and performance goals.
Kirsten spent over two years working at Kaiser’s Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (EDIOP), supporting adults and adolescents with all forms of eating disorders. She has also worked in a residential level of care.
Kirsten has created and facilitated a variety of nutrition, exercise, and health curriculum for research studies, educational systems, and eating disorder treatment facilities that emphasize making peace with food and accepting one's body for all that it does.
Kirsten holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Science from UC Santa Cruz. She completed her dietetic internships at San Francisco State University and completed a Master of Science degree from the University of Nebraska.
