Thank you for visiting my website.
No matter what goals you are working toward, it is common to have questions before working with a Registered Dietitian. Please know that our work will be collaborative and I will meet you wherever you are on your journey. Please use this page to learn more about my practice and the details for getting our work started.
Prior to our First Meeting
If you’d like more information on my current rates and services please send me an email (the fastest way to reach me) and I will respond with some helpful information to know before scheduling an initial appointment. Should you have additional questions, please let me know.
I use a secure portal for filling out an initial questionnaire and to electronically sign my practice forms. You will receive an email from "Simple Practice" to complete this before our first meeting. Anyone under 18 years old will need to have a parent/legal guardian sign the forms.
Meeting Length, Frequency, and Timing
Our first meeting will last 75 minutes. If you’d like to move forward after the initial meeting we will set three 45-minute “follow up” meetings.
I consider these first four meetings to be the foundation of our work together and create space for communicating more regularly during this time. Most often I meet with clients for a much longer duration than just these four meetings. In the beginning I find that it is most effective to meet on a regular (weekly or biweekly) basis.
Insurance and Superbills
While I do NOT accept insurance, I am able provide an insurance superbill (insurance receipt) for you to submit if you'd like. If you would like to receive insurance receipts, please let me know. I generate superbills on a monthly basis and will need to coordinate with your doctor for this.

Insurance Script prior to Nutrition Counseling
Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
-Does my plan cover outpatient nutrition counseling with a Registered Dietitian? Yes / No
-If yes, how many how many sessions are allowed?
-Does my plan only cover visits that are “medically necessary” or are considered “medical nutrition therapy”? Yes / No
-Does my plan cover any weight or eating disorder concerns? Yes / No
-Do I have a deductible to meet first? Yes / No? If yes, how much?
-Do I need a physician referral? Yes / No
-What is the reimbursement rate for out of network providers if I submit a superbill?
-Is telehealth nutrition counseling covered? Yes/ No
